Did this incident occur outside of the Town of
Amherst? Did this occur on the campuses of UMASS, Amherst
College or Hampshire College?

Do you know the suspect?

Was either your home or vehicle broken into?

Were you physically assaulted?

There is evidence that could lead to the
identification of a suspect?
If you answered NO to all of the above questions, you are
ready to file your report on-line. Make sure to turn off your
pop-up blocking software before filing the report. If you answered
YES to any of the questions, you cannot use this system to
file a report on-line. Please see our

Upon
completion of our
Online Reporting System process you will:

See "Your report has been submitted"
showing that your report is complete.

Be given a temporary case number and emailed this
temporary printable report

Once the report has been reviewed by our officers, an
approved permanent report will be emailed to you. Review
will take between 24-48 hours.
Please note that all cases filed online will be reviewed. Upon
review, you may be contacted if further investigation of your case
is needed. If a report is rejected during our online review process,
you will receive an email detailing the reason for the rejection.
Filing a false police report is a crime and will be prosecuted.

Use to report information regarding any crime and wish to remain
anonymous.

Homeland Security Tips
Use if you have information regarding person(s) involved in
threatening activities that may concern Homeland Security. You
can remain anonymous if you’d like.

Traffic Complaints
Use this form to submit complaints about
traffic issues in your neighborhood such as chronic speeding,
speeding in school zones and radar speed-board trailer requests.
If you do not
see a report type for your situation, please call the Amherst Police
Department at 413-259-3000 to speak to an Officer.
